The Cabin has been recently built specifically for B&B accommodation. I have enjoyed the furbishing process and have aimed for a calm and comfortable space. It is well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, wifi, a TV, heating, soft towels, Egyptian cotton bedding and a king size bed. It is a priority that guests get the opportunity for good nights sleep! The Cabin is independent and set in the well stocked, riverside gardens of Stourbank Cottage. Some call it the 'Gingerbread House' owing to its pretty gothic windows and setting. Bird life and river life abound. Breakfast may be taken in the cottage's dining room or by the riverside...weather permitting! If you enjoy boating, there is a single canoe or small dingy in which to play swallows and amazons free of charge! Stourbank is in a beautiful location which many visitors say makes them feel they have stepped into a Nirvana. I hope you will experience the same feeling.

Nayland is a small, medieval village situated in the Dedham Vale, a designated Area Of Outstanding Beauty. Timber-framed houses and an old mill reflect its heritage as a wool-trading centre. The village is surrounded by beautiful countryside, as painted by Constable. Walks take you through pretty village streets, across open fields or follow the winding Stour river. Close by there are other beautiful villages such as Lavenham, Long Melford and Dedham and for golfers, Stoke-by-Nayland golf club and spa is a ten minute drive away. Nearby towns include Colchester, the oldest Roman town in the UK; Sudbury, home of Gainsborough; Ipswich, rich in sea law.... and football! The village is serviced by a bus route, and there are railway stations close by in Colchester and Sudbury.
