Charming detached Victorian Coach House in pleasant village location in the heart of rural Warwickshire. Approx. 9 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon and approx. 20 miles from Birmingham Airport. Local pub 10 mins walk. Detached two storey accommodation with hall, good sized living/dining room, fitted kitchen, downstairs WC, double bedroom, separate dressing room, bathroom. Patio with table and chairs.
It's the four of us - James, Emma and the two boys - Will (16) and Alex (14). We have lived in Great Alne for 13 years now and love it here. The Coach House sits at the end of our drive and has been rented out full time since we moved here but in 2020 we decided to give it a little face-lift, furnish it and have a go as short-term holiday let hosts, and here we are! We live at the top of the drive so normally aren't too far away but we will leave you in peace unless you need us.
Lovely rural walks and cycle routes on the doorstep. Village pub serving lovely ales and delicious food (approx 10 min walk). Nearby town of Alcester (less than 3 miles) has good local shopping plus Waitrose supermarket and some excellent pubs, restaurants, takeaways and coffee shops. Stratford-upon-Avon is 15 - 20 minute drive. Warwick is 25 minute drive. Birmingham Airport is a 25 minute drive. You will probably want a car to get around although there is a limited bus service from Great Alne to Stratford upon Avon. There is a railway station nearby at Wootton Wawen (3.5 miles) which provides a direct service to Stratford upon Avon and also to Birmingham.
