Company information

Lynn runs Leaholme Cottages, a small family-operated holiday letting business offering luxury self-catering accommodation in Northumberland. We pride ourselves on the 'personal touch', providing accommodation you will want to return to year after year. Check-in is 4pm (or earlier by special arrangement) using the key safe code. We will contact you on the evening of your arrival to make sure that everything is perfect for you. Our housekeeper lives nearby and is on hand should anything else be required during your stay.

Property information

Barbican View is a beautifully refurbished, luxury apartment occupying the entire ground floor of a Grade 2 listed townhouse in the conservation area of Alnwick, with an unbeatable view of the grand barbican entrance to the castle. It is close to the many walks and meadows around Alnwick Castle, but is also less than five minutes on foot from the centre of town. Barbican View is dog-friendly; we accept one medium-sized or two small dogs on request. There is a fee of GBP25 per dog which is payable directly to us before arrival.

As well as having its own attractions - Alnwick Castle ('Hogwarts') and Gardens and Barter Books being the most famous - Alnwick is a perfect central hub for exploring Northumberland. Bamburgh Castle, Cragside House and Gardens, Dunstanburgh Castle, Hadrian’s Wall, Northumberland Heritage Coast and Northumberland National Park are all easily accessible by car. The nearby Northumberland Coast AONB has some of the most unspoilt beaches in the country.
