The charming small town of Instow is a great holiday destination all year round, located on an estuary where the Taw and Torridge rivers meet. Backed by rolling hills, fields and woods, it is an idyllic base from where to explore the North Devon coast. There is a lovely beach, known as Instow Sands, with views across the water to the fishing village of Appledore, which lies on the opposite side of the estuary. The tarka Trail and South West Coast Path both pass through the village, providing some of the region’s most scenic walks and cycles. Wind surfers, kite boarders, paddle boarders, sun seekers and sandcastle builders can enjoy the expanse of Instow’s long sandy shore.

Kiln House is a family friendly, 3 bedroom house, providing a fantastic base for a variety of leisure interests in & around Instow. Upon entering Kiln House, a W.C is to your right. The hallway opens up into an open plan living/dining space, with patio doors leading out to the garden. The well equipped kitchen provides for all your needs with fridge/freezer, gas hob & electric oven, microwave, coffee maker, washing machine & dish-washer. After sharing a meal round the 6 seater dining table, snuggle up on sofas to watch films on the Smart TV. The 3 bedrooms offer two doubles and a bunk bed. The family bathroom is equipped with a large walk in shower & WC. Towels & linen are provided. A patio outside houses the garden furniture to enjoy alfresco dining. One allocated parking space, marked No1 is by the back gate, with further parking available at the top of the lane. Dogs are request only and charges may apply. We also ask that they remain on the ground floor. The sea is a two minute walk away and once on the seafront there are a number of places to eat, drink or enjoy an ice cream or cold drink. The Tarka Trail can be accessed within a 5 minute walk or 1 minute bike ride. Cycle 6.5 miles to Barnstaple along what used to be the old railway line, now a path designated for pedestrians and cyclists, or, head to Bideford and beyond.
