Superb views of the Broadway Hills and Broadway Tower. Self-contained apartment joined to our main house. Spar shop in village centre. Private access, guest parking space and patio. Our ground floor utility room doubles as a guest breakfast room with microwave oven, cutlery, crockery, tea and coffee, kettle, toaster, but with NO cooking hob nor pans. Note that we do not serve breakfast. NOTE: the bed is a small double: four feet wide.
I am a retired teacher, now undertaking research at the University of Warwick. My wife and I were both brought up in this beautiful corner of South Worcestershire where we live. We have close and longstanding links with our neighbours.
We live on the southern edge of Badsey, an historic centre for the Vale of Evesham market gardening industry. There is a Spar shop in the village centre plus the 17th Century Wheatsheaf village pub just a few minutes walk from us. The Fleece Inn National Trust pub is 5 mins drive, or an hour via rural footpath from us. Places to visit: Cotswold Garden Flowers (just around the corner); Hidcote Gardens; Snowshill Manor; Broadway Tower; Stanway House and garden fountain; Chipping Campden; Evesham Abbey Park with St Lawrence Church and the Bell Tower; Morgan Car factory in Malvern. Badsey is conveniently located a few minutes drive form the Evesham bypass. On arrival, guests park close to the log store on the righthand side of our driveway. We are eight minutes drive from Broadway and Willersey, the nearest Cotswold villages. The Cotswold Way National Trail begins in Chipping Campden, passing through Broadway centre and then on towards Laverton, Stanton and Stanway villages.
