Osprey Holiday Cottages are a local staycation specialist based on the Isle of Portland, Dorset. I am Philippa, I am the owner of the business, I pride myself and my business offering wonderful breaks to Weymouth & Portland. We have no call centres, just a dedicated local team ready to help. Chiswell Cottage is managed by Osprey Holiday Cottages. We are based on Portland. A house manual will be available at house on your arrival with our contact details. We have staff on call 24hours a day for emergencies.

Property information

Chiswell Cottage is set within the village of Fortuneswell, on the isle of Portland in Dorset. You can cross the road and walk right onto Chesil Beach! The house is also really well located for the National Sailing Academy and has hosted many sailing teams in its time. Having two full bathrooms and plenty of space makes for a great group home too. The house has four bedrooms over three floors and sleeps eight. An enclosed garden with table seating and a BBQ for those hot summer days. We also have a sofa bed available to use in the living room and and another in the master bedroom. Please let us know if you would like to use these. (Extra linen charges apply)

Neighbourhood information

Chiswell Cottage is set within the village of Fortuneswell. You can cross the road and walk onto Chesil Beach. On the beach you can visit The Cove House Bar & Restaurant and also Quiddles Café. The house is really well located for the National Sailing Academy and has hosted to many sailing teams before. Have two full bathrooms and plenty of space makes for a great group home. You can follow the coastal path and walk the up to Tout Sculpture Park. The cottage is a great location if you love to walk, you can take the coastal path around the entire Island. (takes about 4 hours) Within the village of Fortuneswell you have a Co-op ,a Post Office and a few takeaway restaurants. A two minute walk into Victoria square give you access to the bus route up into Portland or over to Weymouth. You can also park on the street unrestricted and a few car parks are available in the are which are free to park for 72hours per visit.
