At Frythens Cottages we look forward to welcoming guests to our beautifully converted collection of 4 holiday cottages in West Cornwall. In 2015 we started the huge task of turning the old farm buildings into modern and stylish accommodation for guests to call a 'home from home' on their holidays. I live on site so will be on hand to help if you need any assistance.

Formerly a stable and grain store, the Bank Barn is a stunningly converted, spacious, reverse level granite barn with high ceilings and exposed beams. Centrally located for exploring the many beaches and attractions of West Cornwall, Bank Barn is the perfect home from home for a Cornish holiday. Perfect for couples, families or friends, the self catering barn is versatile with a king sized double bedroom, twin bedroom and single bedroom downstairs and kitchen/dining room and comfy living room with wood burner upstairs. With far reaching country views, why not enjoy alfresco dining or play some games, watching the sunset in your own private garden. Upstairs: The barn offers modern living with a fully fitted kitchen, including electric cooker with gas hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and all the essential pots, pans and equipment. Snuggle up on the comfy corner sofa and watch TV in front of the fire (complementary first basket of logs) in the living room or just sit back and admire the view from the large upstairs window. There is also an upstairs cloakroom and WC for your convenience. Downstairs: Downstairs you will find three bedrooms, a king size double, twin and a single. There is a cupboard with plenty of hanging space for all your clothes in the hallway.​The bathroom with shower, basin, WC and heated towel rail is also on the ground floor. An added bonus to the lovely garden is the fabulous 2 acre field on the property for all our guests to use for relaxing, playing, picnicing or watching the sunset. As we are lucky enough to be located in the countryside, our guests will need their own transport to get around.

Conveniently located just a 5 minute drive from the A30 and St Erth train station, Frythens Cottages are a central base for exploring West Cornwall. If you’re coming to Cornwall to enjoy the seaside then you’ll be spoilt for choice between the North and South coasts with several sandy beaches within a 10 minute drive, Marazion, Hayle, Perranuthnoe and Praa Sands to get you started! The ancient market town of Marazion with St Michael’s Mount is under 4 miles away. Boasting a long sandy beach and breathtaking views, it’s a must visit during your stay. St Ives is easily accessible and definitely worth taking the short train journey via the branch line from St Erth Station (a 5 minute drive away), taking in the fantastic views across Hayle’s 3 miles of golden sands along the way. When you’re there you can enjoy the many art galleries and shops as well as take in the sea air or book a trip on one of the sightseeing boats from the harbour. Other popular places nearby include Land’s End, Porthcurno, The Minack Theatre and Penzance to name but a few. If you fancy venturing a bit further then Kynance Cove on the Lizard Peninsula is definitely recommended, as are the maritime town of Falmouth and the cathedral city of Truro and there's always the Eden Project or even the Isles of Scilly! For your convenience, the villages of St Erth and Goldsitney are a 5 minute drive away, both have a pub, small shop and Post Office. As we are lucky enough to be located in the countryside, our guests will need their own transport to get around.
