Noël au pays des châteaux!!! And the "pays" of my large semi-troglodytic renovated winery nestled into the Vouvray AOC vineyards near Tours. Hot tub, modern kitchen, 5+ bedrooms, and more await you. New York style-Loire Valley lifestyle. The property, which has 2 caves, is in a touristic village in the heart of the Loire Valley with its castles, vineyards, and wineries, including the famous 7-castle Christmas itinerary, which runs through January 2.
I live and work in beautiful Rochecorbon, just outside the portes of Tours, in the renovated chai of my dreams. Introducing people to this beautiful region is my passion. In addition, I love horseback riding, cooking, and, of course, travelling. We are available by phone, and in the event of a problem, we have people who can help out.
The neighbourhood is a quiet, but friendly area bordered by the magnificent Loire River on one side and the Vouvray vineyards on all the others. The home is across the street from one of the oldest Roman chapels in France, for which tours are available. Also across the street are two local wineries, whose caves are also open to visitors. During the summer, we are a 15-minute walk on a safe and beautiful bike path along the Loire to the Guinguette de Rochecorbon, widely regarded as one of the best guinguettes in France. Next to the guinguette, there is a children's fun park. You are a short drive from a dozen historical castles, including the famous castle at Chenonceau. Rochecorbon itself is full of wine caves that provide visits. It also has two extremely high-quality restaurants, the closest of which (a 5-minute drive) is Michelin-starred. Rochecorbon, although a small village, is approximately 5 minutes from the historical city of Tours, which you can easily reach by car, on the Loire River Bike path, or on public transportation.
