We went skiing, excellent location for the Flégere lift. Also very close to a bus stop which you can use to travel up and down the valley. Within 100-200 metres: several hire shops, 24 hour pass collection machine, a small bar plus a small food shop nearby with a nice bakery. For a bigger food shop or restaurants you can walk into the centre of chamonix in 30 minutes using a path alongside a stream. The chalet itself is very private and well set up, everything in the bathrooms and kitchen worked fine. The access instructions were clear and helpful
