Welcome! Leaving for the week-end with no idea of a unique place to stay? Our room awaits you abord L'Elixir! We kindly remind you that it is a boat and is not comparable to a hotel. With that said we welcome all open minded friendly guests. The logement is apart of our home, respect of the property and respect for this type of living is requested. If you are not ready for the experience of a night on a boat and the romance, dreamscape, and freedom that it offers, we ask that you refrain from booking. You 'll have access to a space of 30m2 fully dedicated to you : a bedroom, bathroom, as well as a kitchen. There is private entrance to your room as the logement you will have the opportunity to experience is located on one side of the boat and we live on the opposite side. Outside of your room you will find a terrace where if weather permitting you can enjoy the sunshine and see a family of neighborhood ducks and swans that visit often. We offer a welcome breakfast which is reserved only for the first morning abord Elixir. For the remaining days we welcome you to take advantage of our local bakeries or local markets open all days except Sundays.

L'Elixir is docked on the canal lateral to the Oise river in a small village called Thourotte. Alongside other boats and in front of the gray mountains of a station of dechargement. During the week the passing boats assure a spectacle while coming to empty their stock of gravel. The space where Elixir calls home has a hustle and bustle as well as a oneness with nature. The forest is in walking distance and the hustle and bustle seizes after 6 or 7pm. We know the area well and we will be delighted to guide you and advise you. Tourist brochures of places to go in the area will be made available in your room.You are lucky, you will be in a beautiful place full of surprises: - Easy Access to two large airports Roissy and Beauvais - Longueil Annel : Museum of boats, new cruise on the river l'Oise (5 minutes by car) - Compiègne a large size city has lots of shopping areas and the famous palace of Compiègne; 15 minutes by car and train. - Chateau Pierrefonds: Which is the medieval styled castle of Viollet le Duc is only 20 minutes by car, tucked away in the forest near a beautiful village. - Noyon is another village near Thourotte and more
