The location. Very friendly host. Stunning view of the castle and the roofs of old houses. There was a feeling that I got into my childhood: so many different elements from the 70s - a denim thermos, a plastic case for eggs, a floor lamp with lampshades of a large hair dryer for drying hair in hairdressers of those years and much more. Everything is in orange color scheme. It was felt that the owners had lovingly furnished this attic apartment.

We had a very comfortable stay in this modern apartment, spotlessly clean and well equipped with coffee, cleaning products, etc. It was an easy walk to the Chateau Pierrefonds, the lake and eateries. Take out pizza a few steps away. There is a gated parking lot for the building. Entry was easy using instructions sent by the host.

Lovely little house. Easy check in. Excellent location. Very clean.
Enchanting place, amazing service at the hotel. I was instantly upgraded to a double room overlooking the beautiful lake and the Disney-like castle. Very polite and attentive lady at the desk and a thoroughly great experience. I have recommended to friends and family and will definitely be coming back.

Lovely place. Can’t fault anything. For the size of town, there’s a great choice of restaurants and cafes in a beautiful setting. The castle is fantastic for those interested in history, especially those who would recognize it from the tv series Merlin. Also it borders the Compiegne Forest, again a must for history buffs.

Really nice place to visit during summer. Nice selection of restaurants and a really great kiosk that sells ice cream. As it's surrounded by forest and has the castle there are plenty of beautiful places to escape the sunshine.

The chateau is fabulous.
The chateau is fabulous. The places to eat are nice when open. Otherwise, there is very little there to do. Nearby town of Compiegne has almost no town centre but does have a large out of town commercial centre.

A beautiful picturesque town with an incredible castle if you enjoy walking the grounds of the castle and around the small town it’s worth the two day stop to visit this quaint place. I was there on a slightly overcast and fury spring day and is the rain poured there was a nice restaurant overlooking the lake with a big fireplace that was amazing the food and the atmosphere and the service and very reasonable rates wonderful place
Beautiful green and quiet location, very friendly host, sleeping in nature and enjoying the silence as there was noone else when we were there. Clean toilets and shower, normally shared with other people. Beds were good, we slept well. Breakfast was sufficient and brought to the tent. we enjoyed our stay and loved the beautiful 'camping-like' setup. It is nothing like a hotel or b&b but the outdoors experience was fantastic!!

This is a stunning place to stay with an incredible view of Pierrefonds Chateau. The cottage has a wonderful ambiance and the facilities are perfect. Comfortable beds, spotlessly clean and lovely bathroom and kitchen facilities. Gorgeous outdoor space too. I would recommend Les Terrasses 100%. Very pleasant and helpful owner too.

The location was excellent as were the features of the hotel. Best though was the staff. They were all friendly and the chef was not only excellent in his craft but humble. The whole experience was great!
