Taupo is 40 km from the hostel. Brilliant little backpackers that’s great for doing the Tongariro crossing. Well equipped and spacious. Sandra manages the place excellently, caring about all the guests whilst running a tight ship. Thoroughly recommend it!

Very peaceful. Kerikeri is a great base for visiting other places like Russell. It also has great markets!

The hostel offers a sun terrace. You can play table tennis at United Auckland. Had a beautiful stay. It did exceed my expectation as I had access to games,movie rooms and the common area with the kitchen is great. In addition my room and bed was clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Helped with easy check in and check out. The building is so clean :) Also i was able to keep my luggage In the reception area even after my checkout for almost 6 hrs. Overall I really enjoyed my stay.

We have upmarket private rooms with ensuites to shared dorms with or without ensuites with eco-friendly bedding and tastefully decorated. This hostel has sustainability at it’s core. It was very close to the main bus stops, the receptionist was very nice and tried to help with finding a job, had private bathroom in the room and large shared kitchens/lounges, while there were even shelves for the top beds to use without having to get down first.

Taupo is an absolute mecca for all things outdoors – including hiking the famous Tongariro crossing, trout fishing, skydiving, jet boating, white water rafting, mountain biking and sailing on the Great Lake with the hostel's yacht 'Fearless'. Great kitchen with all the appliances you would need, lots of dining room space and comfy hangout area, the pod rooms were amazing. So much privacy and such a good concept. Bathrooms were also clean and always fully stocked.
