Mad Monkey Dumaguete, hotel in Dumaguete

Situated in Dumaguete, 300 metres from Escano Beach, Mad Monkey Dumaguete features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar.

Free breakfast, free drinking water, new and clean shared bathroom inside the dormitories, privacy curtains, the staff, the size of the bed inside the 6 bedroom dormitories, AC setting is always comfortable, walking distance to a lot of nice restaurants and coffee shops, it is a party hostel so there's loud music until 10-12am but the dormitories are all detached so it is not that big of a deal unless you stay in the 8 bedroom dormitory which is close to the pool area

I had a great stay at blue house. The location is really good: in central San Juan & I could walk to lots of restaurants & all the bars. It has a private bit of beachfront with swing seats where you can chill & it looked so pretty at night with the lights. The showers were good, everything was very clean & there's a kitchen you can use & free coffee. The French owners were super nice & helpful. They also had a generator & starlink so we always had power & internet during the island power outages. Cant recommend this hostel enough. Would definitely stay here again.

I booked one night in the dorm and one night in a private en-suite. The dorm was very good, with lots of safe storage space under the bed, and more space at bed level to have my luggage. There was even a rack to hang a towel or fabric for some privacy. No issues with mosquitoes in the dorm, probably because it has AC and a fan. I loved the style of the hostel. Bed was very comfy. Breakfast in the cafe next door was very nice. Close to lots of nice restaurants. Staff was useful. Would love to stay there again.

I liked the whole vibe and aesthetic of the hostel. I stayed in the bunk beds and it was okay. They put me in a 6 bed instead of the 10 bed because the AC in the room was broken. It may be better if there was a curtain for each bunk for privacy. There's a little storage, lamp and power socket for each bed. The restaurant is great! I didn't have the chance to try the food but I did try their coffee and pastry (which is 40% after 6PM) and it was really good! I highly recommend the restaurant for it.
