I’ve stayed here several times and look forward to my next visit. Rooms are spacious, Chef Kevin makes awesome meals in the restaurant, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the location is close to the airport.

The location was central to everything. We arrived from the seaport, which was 5 minutes from Luis Miguel. When we left Dumaguete to Manila, Sibulan Airport was just 10 minutes away.
We had our meals downstairs at Pitchina's Kitchen (host owns the restaurant cafe also) - so convenient! And then we took a walk to the Boulevard (walkable distance) and bought some Sans Rival and some other stuff.
The room was spacious and comfy. The air conditioner worked too well. had to turn it off sometimes, opened the window, and enjoyed the fresh air. The bed was not at all stiff, which is always my problem when travelling. Amenities were complete, with extra things too!
I didnt expect much, but I was wonderfully surprised.
For the price range, Luis Miguel sets the bar really high.
It is better than a lot of the hotels I've stayed in that charged me 2x or 3x the price in the Philippines.
I am from the US, and let me just say, hotels here charge 10x more than this, yet they suck lol

oh wow. I fell in love with Dumaguete.
oh wow. I fell in love with Dumaguete. It is a bustling city indeed, to my surprise and still have the provincial charm or the small town charm that will make your stay worthwhile, I have enjoyed my walking around the city and the spots on next town, Valencia. I am for sure be coming back to cheack out some more places I miss to visit.

It would be nice to have stanchion signs at the entrance of the hallways asking people to be quiet as they go down the hallway so others sleeping will not be disturbed. Also, if the guard on duty hears hallway noise, they should try to correct the situation.

A traffic light/stop sign would be amazing in Dumaguete. It's a busy place and when driving you have to have your head on a swivel. Head over to Lee's Market, where you can shop forever. The plaza on the water is amazing at night...Sunday nights are off the hook...food stands, music, karate competition...bustling with positive energy.
If you want the finest fish in the world, head over to the wet market, where you can score pretty much anything you need to satisfy your seafood needs.
Other than that? Dumaguete should only be visited if you have business.
Location just outside the city center 10 min by scooter. Very quiet, peaceful with a nice garden and porch.
Friendly atmosphere. We felt really at home.
Breakfast with the beef tapa that was available was very delicious with the rice and fried egg.

Staff very friendly, helpfull and accomodating. Very clean room with showergel, toothbrushes , paper and towels. Very convenient place to stay. We were very happy staying here for 2 nights. Recommend it highly!
The place was sooo clean and the sheets are crisps and fresh. The hostel provided clean and fresh towel plus there's body wash and shampoo. There's also hot shower. I also loved how serene and quiet the place is despite being so close to the city attractions. I was able to walk to the restaurants and also to Rizal Blvd where all the happenings are. I loved how the staff are so polite and kind embodying their tagline of "City of Gentle People" 11/10 would recommend
A small, locally owned hotel with restaurant on premises. The place is in a good location, on the outskirts of the city, lots and I mean lots of good restaurants within walking distance and helpful, friendly staff. The difference between the standard and superior rooms is 1. a small refrigerator and 2. the superior rooms are on the ground floor. One of the main arteries passes immediately in front of the hotel so easy to get a tricycle, the local taxi.
Beautiful location, great staff, wonderful rooftop dining area, private beach, cabana bar.....everything was fantastic. Exceeded expectations. I was a little hesitant with the location being so far outside of Dumaguete, but hotel offers a shuttle, and there's a cute little town just a few minutes walk that had everything we needed. Fantastic stay....would definitely go again for longer.
I like the location because it is near a grocery mall where you can buy the things that you need for your trip in the city. Also you can find good and delicious foods just outside the building itself. There is also a pharmacy in the building and across the building. My children love the room because there is a bunkbed and we feel very comfortable. The room and bathroom is clean and nice.
We loved Antwet Backapacker Hostel, the rooms are clean, the people working there are so nice and give you a lot of tips to discover the city and beyond. The rooftop is great to discuss with people, to drink a beer or to eat for dinner. It is well located for the city center and the port. All of that for a very cheap price. Wonderful !
I like how very accommodating the staffs are and especially the old lady for assisting me in my needs during my stay in the hotel. The kitchen equipments are superb. The toilet and showers are clean. You can also have laundry here. This hostel will make you feel home in Dumaguete.
This place didn't pretend to be anything it's not. It was a clean friendly and comfortable hotel with a great bar and restaurant. The staff were really helpful and made us feel right at home. I would stay here again if I was in transit in Dumaguete. Loved it!
