I loved being able to get a single room for a good price, even though it came with shared amenities. The property is quite spacious and has plenty of things to do including a spa, exercise room, and laundry. The spa isn't anything special, but is included - which saves splurging on another hot spa option in town if you're traveling by yourself. It's on the edge of the town's centre, so close enough to walk to almost everything.

Very comfortable and cozy stay. Theres toaster and water kettle in the room. Common area well furnished, even provided popcorns and free coffee. Staffs were very friendly and helpful! :) would totally stay here again if i ever visit franz josef again.

The best hostel we have stayed in New Zealand. Modern, cozy, great shower pressure, spacious kitchen with dining area, there is even sauna with cold shower outside. Super friendly staff and in general nice atmosphere. We extended our stay for one more night and would definitely stay again.
The warm welcome cement the impression of the place. Despite being a backpackers' hostel, this accommodation is full of family atmosphere and friendship.
A crowded and obviously popular Hostel in the heart of town ... Which turned out to be small but full of tourists... The staff at the hostel were friendly, helpful and informative... Showers were hot, Bed Comfortable and a well equipped kitchen ... Great mix of backpackers, workers and tourists were staying in this really nice Hostel
