We liked everything about Quintal de Areias— the staff and owners are very welcoming and kind, the rooms are clean, the food is great, and it’s very close to the dunes of Lencois. I don’t think we could have chosen a better place to stay. The owner helped us book everything from the car ride from São Luis to the town, the tours of the dunes, etc. This made everything so much easier since we (unfortunately) don’t speak Portuguese and it would have been difficult to book those logistical things on our own.

The place is very beautiful and spacious, with a big garden and very pleasant ambience. The breakfast was really good. There is a free shuttle service which can drive you any where in town as well as pick you up from any location within Atins to drive you back to the property.

The staff is extremely helpful - all the tours we did were arranged through the pousada. They also arranged a car with a guide/driver for our nocturnal trip - star gazing in Lençóis is an amazing experience when the sky is clear. The grounds are great to relax after spending the days on the dunes. Food options are limited but the food is great - traditional Brazilian food /hey, we're in the middle of nowhere!/. There is a friendly dog who lives on the grounds and we loved giving it some pets :)

The accommodation features a 24-hour front desk, a shared kitchen and organising tours for guests. Host was so helpful and kind. Booked tours for me, brought fresh towels a couple of days in.I asked for a blanket and no arguments just kindly gave it to me unlike other places that try to justify not giving you one. Let me check out a bit later as I had a later bus. Location close to restaurants and convenience store. Just overall good people.
