Most of all the family running the guesthouse. Everyone were so kind, and helpful in any way possible. We had such a great and fun stay. We did the cooking class, highly recommended, don’t miss out. We stayed 4 days and had all our meals there. They are doing really great cooking. After 8 weeks travelling in Sri Lanka the last year, we never had anything but good experiences, but this guesthouse is now our favourite, first of all because of the genuinely warmhearted family.

Everything! It was the most beautiful, elegant, welcoming place we stayed in all of Sri Lanka! The home is a true bed & breakfast. The food was amazing and host couple was absolutely lovely. We found this place by chance while looking for lodging on a stopover near Ella. It was the best surprise. We could have stayed here for days. Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten in my life! Our second visit to Lilly Guest Inn was as good as our first, eight years ago. Rahim and Razmiya are wonderful, helpful hosts who go above and beyond to make sure their guests are comfortable. Breakfasts and dinner are delicious and varied, the bedrooms and bathrooms are spotless and the beds super comfortable. They will organise early starts to Lipton's seat etc, providing a tuk tuk and packed breakfast. A special mention to their safe, courteous and obliging tuk tuk driver Mahindra for whom nothing was too much trouble on our trips to local waterfalls etc. . Sri Lankan hospitality at it's heartwarming best, you will take home very warm memories of Lilly Guest Inn.

Beautiful guesthouse with massive rooms, big bed, warm shower and cosy blankets. The host was very friendly and introduced us into his home with warmth. The breakfast was delicious and the view was amazing, even though it was a little cloudy whilst we were there. It would be even better on a sunny day. We will definitely return here again when we return to Haputale. Highly recommend staying here. Great value, definitely worth the money and more!
