We had a great experience at Farah Guest Inn, we planned for a days stay and ended up staying for 2 days .
The climate and the view from the balcony was incredible ,it was so quiet and peaceful .we enjoyed every minute of the stay here .
We had the best dishes here ,the srilankan rice and curry (chicken, potato ,dhal ,salads ,beans and many other items ) were mouth-watering , they had awesome welcome tea with some hot hot cakes too
The staff here were very friendly, and they almost planned all our trips to Diyaluma falls ,Bambarakanda falls ,Lipton Seat ,Dambetenna tea factory and Adishham bungalow.
The rooms are very clean and spacious too ,
Thank you Farah Guest Inn for making our stay extra special .I would recommend this place to anyone who would like to spend a wonderful holiday

If you want a fully-immersive jungle experience (the sounds of a cacophony of birds, insects, frogs and countless other creatures) with wonderful staff and delicious food then Benjamin Cottage takes some beating! The soundproofing meant that despite the jungle noise we slept soundly after watching fireflies on the balcony. Our driver stayed there with us and on the first night complained that there was nothing to do as the wifi signal wasn’t strong enough… by the second night he was getting the details from the manager as he wanted to bring his family to stay there! While close to Haputale as the crow (surely parakeet?) flies, it is quite a winding drive down the hill, so recommend that you have dinner either at Benjamin Cottage or elsewhere before you return.
Located in Bandarawela, Train View Chalets are situated just 20 minutes away from Ella, 1 hour from Nuwara Eliya, and 15 minutes from Haputale.

It was a wonderful stay. The place is peaceful, surrounded by nature, and the gentle sound of the nearby natural spring stream creates a deep connection with the environment. Additionally, it's conveniently close to Bandarawela town, with many nearby tourist attractions. They also organize well-planned and satisfying tours to Horton Plains and Ella, which I thoroughly enjoyed on my second visit.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
I loved the location, wich is close to the city center, but at the same time quiet and with an amazing view. We had a room on the top floor with a balcony to sit on and enjoy the view of the hills and valley.
My son slept so well. Better than anywhere before in Sri Lanka. Very soft warm blankets and cushions. Musquito nets. Hot shower.
Nice views, great food, friendly host. Good location and view on the mountains from all rooms. Fresh food, fitted to the wishes of the (child) guests. Quiet place, and great location
The guesthouse is very good located. Our host was very helpful and always indicates us the cheapest way to get around. As Backpackers we really appreciate it! We had a really nice view!
Beautiful view with convenient seating in the courtyard. Very quiet and peaceful. Owner has sweet kids and a very friendly wife. I could wash my clothes there for a small fee.
Perfectly located on a quiet side street next to an old church. Wonderful charming colonial building, 150 years old (guest house)
Walking distance to the centre of town.
Nice restaurants and a Buddhist temple nearby.
I liked my spacious bathroom a lot. It was very clean. WiFi was also good.
I felt very comfortable at this place and could relax very much.
Very nice family and nice guesthouse with beautiful view! It’s very quiet and the family really cares to make you feel at home! Everything is very cheap (food) and the laundry was made fast and good! They also provided us a scooter for a good price and we could drive around, this was one of our best days in Sri Lanka! Thank you!
Naleef is a very kind and attentive host, he assisted me with whatever need I had. The guesthouse is located in Haputale, about 5 minutes walking from main road, but in a quiet area. The room was clean and all the basic equipment was available.
Super nice hosts, they helped us with everything and arranged a tuktuk to Horton Plains. When we were leaving very early in the morning, they left us bananas and fresh fruit juice. We also could leave our bag packs until we come back from Horton plains even if it was after the checkout time.
Room was clean and the view absolutely spectacular.
There is WiFi, sometimes works faster sometimes slower, ask the owners for more info.
Very good location near the city centre.
