I really enjoyed the traditional Japanese home and space. I also enjoyed the host, Jerome, showing me the garden and allowing me to pick vegetables with him to cook. The place is well stocked with needed amenities, and the host did a great job explaining how it all works. Next time I'm in Japan I will try to come back to Nara just to stay here!

And we were surprised to find there were two toilets! We had a chance to meet the house owner, who is a friendly and polite man. He asked for photocopies of our passports. This made us feel a sense of safety as we can tell everything here is carefully managed and comply with regulations. I would strongly recommend foreign visitors to consider staying at this guesthouse instead of hotels. It's a great opportunity to get closer to life in Nara.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful showing us around the property. Our room was spacious and comfortable for the two of us. Ambiance was nice I loved how you can hear the birds chirping outside and the water trickling when it rained. The kitchen was very nice to keep our food in. Shower and bathroom was pleasant and kept clean.
