Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
I wasn't sure what to expect with part of the name being "rooms" and coming into reception behind the building, but it was just lovely. This is a lovely old hotel that has been fixed up very nicely. The man at the desk was so cheerful and
helpful. There is a Thai restaurant in the building too that is loved by tourists and locals alike..
Our mattress was comfortable. We were 3 floors up that gave us a view of the lake there and it was nice to sit in the
sunshine in the bay window
The welcome from staff more than made up for what is essentially a well used 'business' hotel. An old building but well refurbished and spacious rooms in modern extension. Dining and bar areas very busy with happy locals who made you feel welcome, not strangers out of place. Exceptional dining staff spoiled us to bits when they discovered it was our special anniversary, and a very good dinner lived up to its AA star rating.
It was a great location with lots of parking. The bar and restaurant have a great selection of food and drinks! And the staff was absolutely wonderful and checked in with me multiple times after my experience in the place I was meant to stay. I ended up chatting with locals in the bar which made it feel super homely.
This place is a little gem very comfortable and clean adam and Elaine great host .this is not a b&b .but has a lovely big kitchen fully equipped with everthing you need were you can cook for yourself at any time .
2 mins walk to town beach 10 min walk you couldn't ask for more .
