Lovely little hideaway. The owner kindly arranged for a tuk tuk to collect us from the train station.The cottage was so homely and well equipped with everything you might need. We loved the veranda where you could relax and enjoy the quiet view down to Ella. It was really cool to see the trains coming along the line as well ( there aren't that many trains!)
The owners wife cooked us dinner and breakfast - both meals were traditional Sri Lankan and really delicious.
This property is a real gem if you like an authentic and home from home experience.

The room is surprisingly spacious, the view is great, everything is very comfortable. The hosts were amazing, thanks to their recommendations we got to see some beautiful places around Ella, like Nil Diya Pokuna. The location is close to some hiking trails like Little Adam's Peak, and has a couple of very nice restaurants. 30 minute walk to the Ella city center, or a 5 minute tuktuk ride.

Beautiful views over Ella from our private balcony. The host family are very welcoming and offered us tea & coffee each day and their home cooking is delicious. We had breakfasts at the property. We also had dinner prepared for us, our laundry done and packed snacks for the train ride to Kandy - all at a very reasonable extra cost. Can not recommend this place enough.

Everything was amazing. The room was very nice, Lucky has been the greatest host. We spent 2 nights in Ella and she cooked us two different (and super delicious) Sri Lankan style breakfasts. She also made us a tasty soup the day we arrived.

This is our second visit to this recently opened cottage. It was easy to locate using Google Maps and has a secure, free parking area. It is a lovely place to relax and stay. Although we traveled as a couple, there were two comfortable large beds that could also accommodate a family. You can order delicious food from the cottage owner, who prepares it for you. The place is impeccably clean, giving you a sense of being at home. The owner is very kind and helpful, and the location offers beautiful scenery, with a view of the black bridge on the Kital Ella railway track.

Very good breakfast included in the already low price, it was three minutes from all the restaurants. When we were leaving the owner booked us seats in the bus and helped us with it.

The host proceeded a generous breakfast daily. She also facilitated free pick up from the train station due to the current road condition not being g suitable for our driver/van. The rooms were very clean and tidy. The upstairs balcony was perfect for watching trains and storms and admiring the waterfall. The walk I took town was on the train track which may not suit everyone but the alternative was a serious hill climb or tuktuk ride.
The rooms were all very clean and tidy and everything was set up in a great way. The location is also great as it is very close to the town, and the views were beautiful. The hosts were also very friendly and welcoming, helping us whenever we needed them.
Amazing breakfast, in die middle of the green, 10min walk from ella, very quiet at night, very clean, well maintained site, the most comfortable bed and room we've had so far, great shower, comfortable hammock... everything was great!
The hotel is very nice. I enjoyed the view from the window and the panoramic windows around the room. The room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. It takes five minutes on tuk-tuk to get to the city center.
When we arrived here, exhausted after a long car ride, we were immediately offered something to drink. Additionally, there is an employee named Sunny who takes care of every guest's wish. For example, he got us train tickets without us having to ask much. The rooms were also very clean, we had a beautiful view, and always the best service. All the staff in this hotel were friendly, accommodating, and always in a good mood. We would book here again anytime.
Excellent stay at Holiday Homes Guest Inn - Ella. We felt very accommodated the whole time. We had a lovely breakfast every morning with some different form of pancakes every morning, peanut butter was also brought for us when asked :) Our towels were changed half way through and had a great little coffee station in our room. This stay was only 10min walk from the main street of Ella and very close to all the main attractions such as little Adams peak and Ellas rock. Our room and bed was lovely and clean, I would stay again.
Holiday homes guest inn was absolutely sublime, it was clean and well presented. I went there for some privacy as I was very sick and the hostess looked after me as if I were her own family, bringing me dry toast and refreshing drinks and medicine to my room. I felt so comfortable and felt much better the next day, and enjoyed breakfast from the restaurant which has an amazing view.
Holiday Homes was lovely! The room was nice and clean. Beautiful views from balcony. We enjoyed breakfast so much. Big portion and delicious! The best thing is the location. Everywhere is walkable. 30 minutes walk to Little Adam’s Peak and Nine Arches Bridge. The owner is friendly and so is her dog! We would definitely recommend this place!
