It was a beautiful old Italian village a little further out of Varenna than we has thought. Taxis in Varenna were not easy to find on one occasion but we found a lovely taxi driver Rita who was totally reliable after that. Despite the transport issues we were glad to stay in such a lovely village with its views over the lake. The house was lovely and the help and welcome from the hostess was second to none

In addition, you have complete privacy, the garden is very well fenced, which is nice if you have a dog and a great view over the lake, breathtaking.
