Hardanger Guesthouse’s guest rooms have a private bathroom, wooden floors and either a private terrace or fjord views. There are also basic cottages with cooking possibilities and access to shared bathroom facilities. My family and I (3 children) stayed in a house next to the hotel. This is a separate apartment for all you need. With a separate entrance and privacy. The house is huge, one of the biggest I've seen. 5 beautiful and spacious bedrooms. There is an amazing view of the fjord from the house. The parents' main bedroom is also large and luxurious. With lots of closets and a view of a river. Huge and well equipped kitchen. A huge balcony overlooks one of the most beautiful fjords we have seen. In a 2 minute walk you reach the fjord. Easy access to the water. You can enter or fish. The service at the hotel was professional, generous and helped us with every question and consultation. He also recommended us for trips around Ulvik. There is also a huge games room near the reception. And a huge trampoline outside. We will definitely be back!

The views were exceptional. The lodge was even better than it seemed from the pictures. Fire is gorgeous and lots of heating options. Very cosy. Great location. Irene and Frede were the loviest hosts we’ve ever come across. Their kindness made the holiday incredibly special for our 4 year old. Thank you!

Nice hostel. Great location if you want to hike to Trolltunga. The staff was friendly, the place was clean and the breakfast was great for the price we paid.
The food offered was amazing. Dinner was excellent. Reindeer stew will live long in our memories and the trout and lemon sauce was stunning. Then breakfast the next morning was exceptional. We loved the fact that this property was a pension not an hotel. It was a personal stay where interaction was with the host rather than a larger and possibly corporate property. My husband and I would happily stay again and would highly recommend this property.
Very nice hotel with a charming owner. If you want to have a quiet room you need to specifically ask for it because most of the rooms are adjacent to the street.
After dinner in house (highly recommended) we were treated by our host to sample some of the local apple cider and a history of the guesthouse.
There aren't many hostels I'd give a 9/10 rating to but for a mixed-dorm hostel, it's about as good as it gets. All very clean, comfortable beds, nice showers, good kitchen area. Good value for money. Great location if you're driving or getting a bus to Trolltunga (P1, P2, P3)
The location of the guesthouse is OK, it is very near to the city center but far enough from the street to be quiet and relaxing. There are quite many facilities for kids: a trampoline, a playing room and my daughter was happy with the bunk bed in our room, too. The breakfast was also quite good, not a huge selection but the basics were there, it was acceptable.
