Excellent communication with the hosts regarding breakfast and procedure to access the nearby free parking. The room itself was equipped to a very high standard, with full kitchen and equipment. Beautiful bathroom with an excellent shower and also lovely toiletries. The view from the room onto the canal right outside was fascinating, with boats and people to watch. Even better that you were able to sit on your own bench! The hosts had left a variety of tourist brochures about nearby attractions, there’s plenty to see in the beautiful town of Dokkum itself. The breakfast supplied by the hosts was exceptional, fresh ingredients, well prepared, plentiful and a slight variation each day. I’ve never had better! Do try the Dokkum coffee, it’s delicious. There are several supermarkets within a 10 min walk, nearby cash machine and a good variety of eating establishments to choose from that suit all pockets. You must try the ice cream shop down the road, fantastic selection! Wished that we could’ve stayed longer and would definitely return here.
