This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. So affordable and the beds in the dorm feels super big. It’s quiet and a very relaxing atmosphere. The staff were absolutely amazing and helped me get around, reserve dinner at restaurants and so on. Highly recommend! The Hakone free pass bus stops right outside. The onsen is also very nice. There’s also a 7/11 3 mins away which came in handy. Also the kitchen has so many supplies! So many different teas. Best place to relax after busy Tokyo

A recently renovated property, 波奈 浅草 Hana Asakusa ーSkyTree前駅まで徒歩5分ー is situated in Tokyo near Hatonomachidori Shopping Street, Tsukada Kobo and Aizome Museum. The guest house, set in a building dating from 1970, is 1.2 km from Kamejimashogakko Memorial Park and 1.3 km from Sumida Cultural Museum. Ushijima Shrine is 1.4 km away and Tobu Museum is 1.4 km from the guest house. Location is convenient and quiet. A little small for 4 (as it’s Tokyo) but has everything. Clean! The host Kasuki sen is super nice and patient. Very helpful showing us around his community.

Elizabeth and Satoshi were incredibly hospitable and went out of their way to make us comfortable. This included giving lifts to us into town and train station, which we really appreciated. The breakfasts and dinner were delicious, we would 100% recommend eating here. The inn is in the woods, so views are great. The room was large and comfortable. A large bottle of water was provided every night. There are a choice of onsens on site which we took advantage of and were great. The common area was comfortable and we had great conversations with Elizabeth in there. Elizabeth and Satoshi are the highlight of this stay. Please don't hesitate to book your stay here!

The sleeping rooms were beautiful with tatami mat floors and rice paper screens. We went in the winter, so it was a bit cold, but the room comes with a kotatsu table (low table with a built in heater and blanket) and it was amazingly cozy. The view from the room is also incredible, overlooking a ravine with a rushing river. In the morning the made us a delicious breakfast of rice, soup, salted fish, mountain yam and an assortment of other goodies for only ¥1000! They have cats on premise, fyi if you’re allergic, they were only with us at breakfast (obviously not in our rooms) but they are such sweet kitties! From Tersuji and Yoko, to the cozy vibes, to the attentiveness and care - It was like being taken care of by my own grandparents!
