We liked everything about Quintal de Areias— the staff and owners are very welcoming and kind, the rooms are clean, the food is great, and it’s very close to the dunes of Lencois. I don’t think we could have chosen a better place to stay. The owner helped us book everything from the car ride from São Luis to the town, the tours of the dunes, etc. This made everything so much easier since we (unfortunately) don’t speak Portuguese and it would have been difficult to book those logistical things on our own.

The grounds are great to relax after spending the days on the dunes. Food options are limited but the food is great - traditional Brazilian food /hey, we're in the middle of nowhere!/. There is a friendly dog who lives on the grounds and we loved giving it some pets :)
