The location is stunning and Melani is a fantastic host, so friendly and bubbly. We couldn't fault the room, the breakfast was supplied and plentiful. the gardens are impeccable. Melanie even supplied us with a list of restaurants in town before arrival.

Very spacious cottage, equipped with table tennis and an indoor barbecue area. The location is stunning but be aware that you have to drive 30 km gravel road to get there. We would have loved to stay longer!

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Great location at the convergence of the two main East/West Road routes between Cape Town and George. Also closely linked to Rothmans, so there is likely to be flexibility in vacancies
Nicolene was an efficient host (again!), too.
It is a rustic style with clean and modern facilities, tastefully furnished, and in a quiet location with fabulous outlook from.the main room over the hills and valleys. Especially colourful in Autumn, too, with plenty of birdlife and pretty gardens.
Lovely place to stay in a great location and the host was extremely welcoming and charming. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to Swellendam.
Great location, just off the N2 in a quiet residential street but within walking distance to several restaurants. Comfortable room, great bed & shower. Patrick & Gray were perfect hosts, Patrick was a mine of information both locally for a great hike and future holiday options. Lovely breakfast on the patio looking out on the mountains. Perfect!
Charming ‘old school’ country house hotel set in beautiful gardens & outdoor pool. Well furnished & very comfortable rooms with small outside terraces. Alison & her team are great hosts & ensure every guest is special. Thank you for a great stay & hope to see you again.
Maggie was a great host, lots of chat about life in general. The facilities were beautiful and recommendations spot on. Quiet surroundings with beautiful views a short walk from cafes, restaurant and bar
Most amazing place, great location and great hosts. Breakfasts were amazing. Hosts were always willing to go the extra mile and always so accommodating. A definite must!
Nice and quiet location with a great hostess.
Private house with an extra room and small private kitchen to rent out. Separate entrance so you’re completely independent. Beautiful view of the hills during breakfast.
We also used it as a base to visit De Hoop which is quite a ride but worth visiting and still having the luxury of good restaurants and coffee bars in town.
