Wow, what a place! Stunning views of the Douro River and vineyards. The host is incredibly warm and welcoming, and the homemade breakfast is absolutely delicious. The shower is fantastic, and the pool and jacuzzi are amazing for relaxing. Truly an incredible spot—I highly recommend it and would love to come back!

The breakfast was delicious! We would have loved to have it on our balcony but had to go to the dining room because we were in the main part of the house.

This place is incredible! We stayed in the superior villa and the private upper level deck with a steam room and hot tub was amazing and made our stay. It was unfortunately rainy when we were there so we couldn’t enjoy the pool, but the pool area looked serene, was bigger than the pictures show and has amazing views!! The grounds are gorgeous with fruit trees everywhere and you can pick the fruit off the trees to eat. The room was modern, beautiful and clean! We came with two toddlers and they enjoyed exploring all the grounds, playing in the park, the tennis/football court and the hot tub. The breakfast was delicious with so much fresh fruit!
We enjoyed our stay here so much and would highly recommend it. The staff were lovely. Wish we could’ve stayed longer! Gorgeous views from our room and everywhere on the property. It was so peaceful here. The perfect break for some R&R between exploring Porto and Lisbon.
We also walked down the road to Quinta Massora winery to get a bottle of wine which was a nice close treat!

Sergio was the perfect and considerate host, he was very welcoming to his generational family home. The weather did not cooperate to explore the garden. Very nice little town high above the Duoro.

Anna on reception was friendly, informative, and was very accommodating, the venue would have been so laid back if I was staying more than a night. itcwas too cold to use the pool but a beautiful setting. Although parking was not available in site Anna showed me safe parking next to the rear of the building.

Hidden behind a set of wooden doors and a statement step entrance, the rooms are arranged around a central wide wooden staircase. The size of the rooms and modern-clean fitting is amazing set against the old castle outer-walls. I arrived late from a delayed flight and was met within minutes and quickly settled-in by a charming and helpful host. Breakfast is fresh produce, both cooked and cold, with local and home made items. The location is a very short walk down past local shops, bars and eateries to the plaza or up to the castle.

A wonderful guest house in a beautiful setting. We were happily given a larger suite and the view from the balcony was stunning. Carla was a charming host, breakfast was plentiful and delicious. It was a 30 minute walk to town but Carla was happy to order a cab for us.
Maria is the most charming and welcoming hostess. We felt like long lost family members being welcomed home. We got a home tour and her house is just stunning as is the gardens and the surrounding vistas. Food and wine was delicious and plentiful.
Everything was great, manuel is a great host ,the local bread was great which was in kitchen and local wine very nice touch,
