The owner was simply amazing and his hospitality was at a level above the rest the rooms were clean and the owner tended to all small and big needs of ours. The special touch given by him of curd and treacle was amazing service of this quality is very rare and should be appreciated

I had a wonderful morning safari arranged by Mr Kamal with a very good guide and driver, Mr Chuta. The Natural park is wonderful and we could see a lot of birds and also mammals. My accomodation here was Lagoon Inn with two very kind and helphul hosts and a lot of very good food. I highly recommend Kamal Sahari and Lagoon Inn Guesthouse.

A great location, close to Bundalla National Park. The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. Lagoon Inn has a very relaxed vibe, and the hosts, Kamal and his wife, are beautiful people and very helpful when it comes to tips about the area, transport, etc. Kamal organised our safari and it was fantastic. It was very relaxing and it felt like we had the park to ourselves, unlike the larger, better known parks. We saw plenty of monkeys, elephants, birdlife, crocodiles and even deer, although only briefly.

Among the best guest houses I've been. Very friendly and helpful owner, excellent food and tea, central and quiet location with sea view, 100m from beach and 500m from main bus station. Room had private bathroom, fan, good ventilation and daylight, is mosquito-proof when doors closed, and had a balcony with sea view. Free wifi is available. Very good value for money. It's very pleasant to sit on the balcony or in the shaded garden in the breeze, hear the sound of the waves and enjoy the view.

Quiet, spacious shady balcony outside the rooms and a lookout platform that is great for birdwatching and sunsets. Hosts welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable, especially on the birdlife having worked as a guide at Bundala National Park. The accommodation which included air conditioning was great too. The location is ideal being within walking distance to Bundala National Park. The safari they organised was fantastic (they own the jeep) were a good price and professional. .

This guesthouse is right on a long, quiet beach about ten minutes walk from the town. The owner couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. He set up a table with umbrella and chairs outside of our bungalow where he cooked us an amazing breakfast and dinner. For supper, he barbecued fresh fish, potatoes and salad on our porch. This quest house is reasonably priced and in an absolutely stunning location.

Great location in the town, about 7 minutes walk from the bus station. It's a quiet location with jungle garden. In this family homestay you are made to feel very welcome. The host is naturally considerate and adjusts things to make your stay comfortable. If you chose to have meals, they are substantial and delicious.

The pure Sri Lanka out of touristic rush and busy spaces you can find exactly here. The place we spent 4 days was amazing! Hospitable ser Rizvi Thaliph with good English and deep understanding of the World, fish diners from the real local fish market (not for tourists but for people), cheap prices for everything (fruits, food, local products), incredible safari from the host and elephants, buffaloes, birds, crocodiles. The best place ever to relax, rethink yourself, work and leisure.
