Easy to find (with provided instructions), this modern guest house was a great place to catch up on our rest and start the next day with a good meal. Hosts were amiable and helpful without being intrusive. The bed was comfortable, and the view, both from our window and the ground floor patio, was great. Meeting the host, Scot, and staying at Achintee Farm was by far one of our most favorite memories in Scotland. I cannot speak highly enough of the hospitality! Scot was the wittiest, warmest, nicest person we have had the pleasure of meeting and made us laugh in every interaction. The place itself is incredibly charming. Our bedroom window overlooked grazing sheep and the mountains and the room was cozy, clean, spacious, and overall perfect. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, we both had the eggs with salmon and toast with jam. We didn't want to leave!

Lawriestone is located overlooking a loch and we booked a loch view room. We had sunny weather on the 2 days we were there and we were able to watch evening sailing and some early morning loch swimmers with our morning tea . Jan is an excellent hostess and gave us suggestions on things to do in the area. The room was comfortable with 2 large armchairs , a good shower , tea and coffee and a large bed . Breakfast was excellent , fruit salad, cereals , toast, croissants ,boiled eggs, ham and usual tea ,coffee and jams ( and Marmite for those that love it ) . Easy parking and only 15 minutes walk to town .
