Delightful, homey, comfortable guesthouse with comfy futon (laid on mattresses for extra comfort) and very clean shared bathroom. The dinner was incredible, we all loved every bite!
The owner asked what time our bus arrived, but didn't explain that she would collect us from the bus, which wasn't a problem, we just didn't know she was driving around looking for us so kindly.
The pillows!! It is so hard to find good pillows in Japanese hotels and the pillows here were soooo comfy! The view from my room of the mountain range was breathtaking. The staff were very nice and the shower and bathroom facilities were super clean. The overall aesthetic of the room was traditional Japanese but with all the comfy elements.
Beautiful traditionally style accommodation in the heart of magome. Very clean and modern within keeping of the traditional guesthouse style. Very helpful in arranging dinner as most of the restaurants are closed after 5pm. Very comfy futons :)
One of the most value-for-money places I stayed in during my travels in Japan. Exceptional views from just outside the building of Gifu mountains, and the rooms themselves are very well-equiped and comfy, considering the price! Also, the staff went above and beyond to make sure I could check-in without a physical passport (as I didn't have it at the time), and helped me check-in just with a picture I had of it.
Super friendly and helpful staff. Dinner was delicious. Comfy and very spacious dorm. Bunks are separated in a way that mean you have complete privacy from the rest of the dorm which is very good. Location as you would expect but nonetheless perfect.
Well looked after. A business style hotel, but, as a foreign tourist visiting over new year, the staff made sure I had what I needed to do some hiking and where to eat. The onsen, a daily ritual for many domestic visitors, was a treat. Helpful and kind.
Onn Nakatsugawa was really great and I loved it! I liked the communal area, the comfy room, the bath house and the staff.
Nakatsugawa is a lovely quiet town and very easy to get to Magome or Tsumago from the hotel.
The location couldn't be better. The hotel is small, stylish ,clean and it feels homey. Our room was simple, yet spacious & comfy with a view over the mountains.
The shared showers & toilets were very clean.
