The friendly ladies at the check in counter who made us very welcome from the moment we stepped into the hotel. Located in Dolceacqua, Talking Stones is characterised by exposed stone walls in all rooms. It has a shared terrace offering panoramic views of Doria Castle, 400 metres away.

I can’t begin to tell how thrilled I was to spend three nights in this incredible B&B. The design features in my room (#3 with a terrace), were right out of Architectural Digest, and from what I saw of the other rooms, and the stunning roof terrace, where Monika, the owner and host extraordinaire serves a wonderful breakfast every morning, I could have spent the day. Her son David, an extremely professional craftsman, should be credited for the his designs and development coming to fruition, and he too was a pleasure to meet. I will always remember my three nights here, and I suggest that this is the best place to stay in Dolceaqua, with views beyond reproach, and a truly caring and accommodating host!

Each room has a terrace overlooking the sea. They are all hypoallergenic and come with parquet floors, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. We just cannot wait to return to this hotel. In fact, we are already planning our next visit. Sandy and her team were truly amazing. SO helpful, so kind, so generous with their advice and time. The room was well-appointed and had a comfortable king sized bed. We had a free carpark - amazing! We had our own sundeck with chairs, table and cover for reading in the shade when sun baking was done for the day. The breakfast was truly lovely and the staff serving us were wonderful. Even the cleaners were so lovely. But of course - THE VIEWS WERE AMAZING!!!!
