Communication with the host was easy, and nothing was too much trouble. Situated on farm land, nestled away from busy roads and buildings. The Shepherds hut is beautifully presented and has a large privacy covered outdoor tub with wonderfully hot water. We took a dip under the stars and it was heavenly. The kitchen is well equipped, with sturdy La creuset pans, kettle, toaster, four ring top oven l, sink, cutlery, coffee maker, chopping boards etc. The Bed is comfortable, and in a cozy little nook overlooking the beautiful grounds of the countryside. The property is clean and modern with a rustic feel. The log burner is a nice touch, and throws out some heat. Logs and fire starting equipment are provided by the host. Outside our dog was able to free roam which was a very nice comforting feeling. Outside you have a fire pit and bbq, along with the large outdoor tub. There is no wheelchair access to this property so take this into account if you're not able bodied. Honestly no criticism at all from our stay. I have included pictures of views from the windows of the shepherds hut. Nearby, we visited Dovedale ( pictures included) the scenery is breathtaking and worth soaking up. The village has a nice pub, and down by the pre school is a lovely little village cafe. All of the locals were lovely. Already planning our next visit.

Arriving to a lit fire on a cold day was great. The beds were very comfortable! Lovely farmhouse stay :)
Beautiful farm house in a lovely setting. Very nicely modernised. Lots of space both inside and out. Owner was quick to respond when we had queries. Very comfortable and quiet. Lots of parking space.
Great stay in a beautifully renovated old farm house. The rooms were exactly as shown in the description - a nice little sitting room, a bedroom and a lovely big modern bathroom. Very comfortable after a day's driving (for us) or a long hike through the gorgeous hills and dales. Proximity to the Hassop Station Cafe was a huge bonus - very yummy food a few steps away. Right on the Monsal trail - which would have been lovely if we had our dog with us. Will absolutely stay here again and recommend to others.
Barn Owl cottage is beautiful. It had been decorated for Christmas which we loved and it had been heated up so it was really cosy. The location is excellent and is just a short walk into the village of Cromford. The views are stunning and we loved being on a farm. We were able to take our dog who loved it too!
The property was was beautifully renovated, with a luxurious yet Homely comfortable feel, the sofas were persuasively inviting to relax and enjoy the centre of the home, noyet the wood and stone work fireplace. The Skylights in all areas remind you, that whatever the season, this renovated barn will keep you in gratuitous comfort, with modern technology in rustic farmland surroundings. The friendly fielded cows are but 100 metres away
Comfortable small barn on a farm in a beautiful rural location. Very quiet and peaceful. Near to the local attractions and facilities such as Dovedale, Tissington Trail and Hartington. The cottage was great for the four of us (two couples) for a weekend. Very clean and well laid out. Highly recommended for a walking weekend or short break.
It was a lovely farmhouse and the bedrooms designed in the old barns. The room was extremely comfortable, warm and had all the essentials needed for the stay - toiletries, tea and coffee and chocolate bars too! Excellent breakfasts were included with the room and Sarah and Paul were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely return to continue exploring the Peak District.
Loved this place, great hosts and breakfasts. We stayed in the barn conversion, well equipped and tastefully done with quality furnishings. Nice use of the space with sliding glass door creating an area to sit as well as table and chair outside. Paul has a passion for the history of this place and loaned us a book detailing the old farmhouse which dates back several hundred years. Felt very comfortable here and hope to return another time.
