A really nice clean room in a relatively isolated farmhouse near lanercost Abbey and Hadrians Wall. The evening meal and breakfast were magnificent. Really enjoyable stay and excellent t value for money considering the high quality room and how spotlessly clean it was. Massive bonus the lovely big bath as well after a day's walking.
Friendly welcome to a rustic family home of happy children, dogs & a relaxed ambience presented by a super casual couple. Beautiful rural location. Chef/host Steve's breakfast was cooked to perfection! Free on-street parking. Convenient to M6, but very quiet. Short walk to village pub or 30 min drive to Kendal.
Beautiful setting in a very peaceful place. Views are just stunning all around the farmhouse.
Amazing period property done up with all the mod cons. Everything you could need was there, even a pub serving great food just over the road. The farm house was immaculate, the beds comfy and a lovely welcome tray in the kitchen. We loved all the quirky details in this 17th century farmhouse, only a ten minute walk along the river to the centre of town. Barbara couldn’t have done enough to help with any questions I had.
Superb host. Lovely at reception. The place is a farmhouse with beamed ceilings and a large farm house kitchen to have breakfast in. We stayed in a very large bedroom with a super size bed again with a beamed ceiling. The shower was in a corner of the room with a screen you could use for modesty if you wish. Cereals, toast and fruit were there for breakfast. Way more than you get from a lodge type chain hotel. THANK YOU
A charming a peaceful old farm house with loads of character. Our room was spacious and comfortable and we felt quite at home. The breakfast of cereal, toast was great and the option for a good value cooked breakfast was appreciated. We would recommend our hosts and the property which is rural and yet right on the edge of town and local facilities.
The perfect mix of modern and rustic. We had a very comfortable stay here with great wifi, tvs and kitchen appliances set in a lovely farmhouse building. When the sun is out, the garden seating and the ping pong table made for a fantastic base to go out on country walks.
Rural and very quiet location. Lovely old previous farm house with oak furniture and very comfortable bed. Good room size. Lovely cooked breakfast or continental if required. Our host Mel was friendly and welcomed us on arrival. Shared bathrooms, but was not too bad. We enjoyed our stay.
Nice size cabin for a family holiday, situated in a very rural location. The cabin was bigger than we expected and everything was provided for a self catering staycation. We were met by the host when we arrived who lives in the farmhouse on site.
