DETAILS! It is all about details. So much effort and attention hosts put in everything. To start with the suite decoration: candles already set up, towels with red ribbons, light customizable exactly how you want it to be, spa bath that they designed by themselves) then a lot of complementary things: water, wine, sangria, snacks, juice, coffee, tea… honestly I have not seen any host providing that many. Service: very very professional, friendly and discrete which is very important for the experience. Food: we took soft dinner (you choose how many courses and which ones you want the day before and you communicate it to the hosts before 18 and they bring it to the suite by the time you agree) and it was good, tasty, nicely decorated (details again) and served. We had an amazing time and we hope to come back again!

Best host I've ever met. Michele, his kids, and mom are just the best :) They gave us plenty of tips where to go, what to see, etc. There are bikes available (even with the baby seat and helmet). Lots of entertainment for kids and the garden is very nicely styled. We just felt like in the second home :) The location is very good. 10 mins by car to the see, 25min by bike to the Marema national park, 15 mins to the Grosetto center and the closest shop is big COOP just 8 mins away by car. In my opinion, this is how the hospitality should be done - friendly and welcoming :) Thank you for the great stay, and we will hopefully come back soon.

Il Poggiolo is a great place to stay to discover the southern part of Tuscany, close to the sea, including Argentario/Giglio island, but also the historical villages in the inland such as Pitigliano. My wife and I have found this place absolutely perfect for a romantic escape from busy everyday life: a very peaceful area not far from the city of Grosseto, where you can bathe in the swimmingpool hearing birds singing, enjoy a starred night sky and, while having your (delicious) breakfast, the typical views of Tuscany: golden rolling hills, the vineyards and olive trees of the house's garden. Worth to mention, our hosts Paola and Nicola: they gave us a lot of interesting and useful tips for planning our trip. They are charming and intelligent people with whom we had enriching and stimulating talks on life. Paola is also a great cook and patissière: breakfast and dinner are absolutely delicious and made with local fresh food. We will for sure come back. We strongly recommend Il Poggiolo!
