It's an old style Japanese Guesthouse renovated to be extremely comfortable even for people that don't like older houses. It is almost completely renovated and the host really took a lot of effort to decorate the rooms. There is a great kitchen and living room options available. The dorm beds on the third floor are big compared to other hostels but the stairs a little steep and narrow. The first floor is offers bigger rooms for people and an area for children to play (as of October 2023). Outside the house is space for at leat 5-6 cars for parking. By foot you can go to a park, an incredible child playground and a lake. There are probably only one or two options for outside dining by foot, but with car shops, laundry, restaurants are available within 10 minutes.

Free WiFi internet is available property-wide. The minshuku is a 10-minute drive from Taira Ski Resort. The farm house experience was simply great! The hosts (husband and wife) were the most friendly and welcoming ever and they made everyone feel comfortable. The bed (futon) was comfortable and everything was very clean. The food was delicious and felt fresh (I mean, I saw the husband grilling our fresh fish, so I know it's fresh). Absolutely recommended!

We were met at the property and given a friendly welcome and a run down of the accomodations features. Location was perfect for our needs. Property was large and included everything you could need for a short stay.
