Parc National de la Gaspésie is 20 minutes’ drive away. The man at reception gave tremendous support in facilitating our reservation for a whale watch. We’re from the States, speak very little French. He went out of his way to help. I was very appreciative and impressed.

Free WiFi is featured throughout the property. The house was beautiful and rustic. We would have loved to learn more about what went into building it and the thought process behind all the ornate woodwork.

The host was very helpful telling us about the attractions in the area. The cabins were clean and spacious.

We’ve stayed twice and had a consistently great experience both times.

Guest rooms at the Matane Riotel are equipped with 37-inch plasma-screen TV and a refrigerator. Coffee makers and work desks are also included. Very nice facilities. Restaurant and bar area are very nice. The lounge area is a nice place to enjoy a beverage. The staff in every area are very friendly and helpful. The room was nice, roomy, water view, very comfortable bed. Open the window to enjoy the sound of the water lapping on shore. A balcony room would have been even better. Outdoor seating area on the beach was a nice place to enjoy morning coffee. Ask about an evening fire. Breakfast was very nice and the service friendly. Definitely recommend
