Select rooms include a fireplace and a sofa bed. The staff, like Mary Ann, Hrishiv and Stephanie were very helpful, friendly and informative. The kitchen in the room was clean and very well equipped. The location was excellent as it was walkable to most sites. The skytrain stations were nearby. The room was very quiet and clean. There is servicing of the room every day. There is a large supermarket and several restaurants just a few steps away from the hotel.

All units come with a flat-screen TV with cable channels, microwave, a coffee machine, a bath, free toiletries and a wardrobe. Selected rooms also boast a kitchen with an oven. Guest rooms at the hotel are equipped with a seating area. We told them we were coming on our honeymoon and they either put us in a honeymooners cottage or they decorated it with a few pieces especially for us. Either way it was a very nice touch! There’s a working fireplace in the cottage and you may use one log per night, with additional logs clearly marked as having a fee. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept like the dead. It was a very rainy dreary day while we were there (too bad the cottage staff can’t change the weather haha) but it was so nice to stay in and get cozy. We enjoyed their outdoor hot tub, the jacuzzi tub in our suite and played games in front of the fireplace.

Sunny Island by White Rock is located on a quiet inner street in South Surrey, and only 10 minutes’ drive to White Rock. The United States-Canada border is only 15 minutes away by Highway 99.
