The Lodge is in a beautiful location and the staff were extremely helpful! We only stayed one night but would definitely stay longer if we had the opportunity. Jean on reception was extremely helpful and Chester was fabulous helping us with kayaking and river cruise!

All your can imagine off indoor luxory and free outdoor equipment included. What a deal for a relaxation vacation days and only 30 min from Halifax. Perfect for big families and we were only two.
Fabulous hidden gem on the heart of guysborough. As you arrive you are grated with a picturesque house on gorgeous green grass, overlooking a majestic ocean view from a privileged elevated coastline. The house is beautifully decorated and has a fully equipped kitchen. Quite large bedrooms, comfortable and clean. It is a great getaway that feels like home. The best: enjoy a cozy family night by the fire. Ideal small group / family. 2 large bedrooms.
We did not eat breakfast there. We were under the impression that you had to make a reservation for a breakfast time. I liked the location of the lodge. Another family member was in room 207 or 208 in main lodge and their room was lovely. The wedding location was nice. The wedding supper was very good. The sheets were clean.
The staff were exceptional and friendly. The restaurant served delicious food. The fish and chips were HUGE! They were extremely friendly with my two children, letting them have their own table, even playing Disney music for them during dinner.
The theme rooms were so much fun! We stayed in Room 7 "No Drama Llhama" and had "no prob llhamas"!
loved the room, the decor & facilities. had everything we needed for travelling with a baby. the view was amazing.
Breakfast buffet was delicious. All food was high quality. Nice having the ordering in option. Boat ride was beautiful. Canoeing was very relaxing. Room was nice. Weather was great. Nice and quiet. Love the gift shop with all of its beautiful down home nova scotia made crafts and keepsakes. Staff so lovely to deal with. You become part of the family when you become a repeat visitor to this lovely getaway lodge. Met so many nice travelers from around the world. We had a lovely 18th anniversary!
The property is a bit outdated but that has his charms too. The people where very kind and the family restaurant has decent food. It closes at 6 pm so that could be a problem.
