This is a unique hotel built in an old, traditional building with ultra modern design. The location is on the edge of greenery and the mountains, but there is plenty to walk round and see locally. The ground floor is a world class restaurant and a collection of 10,000 books on design, art, fashion, cookery, plants etc. With wonderful nooks and crannies to lose oneself in with a book. The onsen on the balcony with views over mountains with snow is fabulous. We decided to give the famous castle a miss and stay put in the ambience of the hotel!

Everything was perfect. You know is not a luxury hostel, but it was cute and comfy. Everything was fine and the facilities are greatful. Perfect location to be far to the crowd, close to the nature.
