I stayed for two nights and had a great time. It's easy to get to, with a bus stop right outside the property that takes you either to the train stations or the lake. The onsens are wonderful, and really are for the price of the accommodation! The communal area is also very well designed and leads to a sense of calm.
Located in Gora, Onsen & Garden -Asante Inn- features a shared lounge, garden, terrace, and free WiFi throughout the property. Free private parking is available.

Asante Inn was my favourite place our family of four (2 adults and 2 children) have stayed in Japan. All the staff are so welcoming and friendly. The owner is a kind man who we met when we took our shuttle bus to Gora station.
We really enjoyed the on-site onsen and massage chair.
We absolutely loved the food which was delicious and very reasonably priced. And there was a great range of both Japanese and Western food. We ate two dinners and one breakfast there.
Our room was very comfortable!
I hope to return in the future and stay longer!
Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The service, facilities and staff were excellent. The room was spacious with many little extras. We could use the private Onsen once a day and also had a small one for ourselves on the balcony. The food was fantastic and portions big. Can only recommend to stay there!

Very peaceful and clean. Tatami floors, the room with a view exceptional.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
We got a good size family room which is not given when traveling as a family of 6 with 4 small children. The shared facilities (toilet, showers and the tables at the reception) are next door. The location is ok - 5 min from the well frequented bus stop. Natural spring hot bath for a single use - this was nice to use, but very basic. Very quiet in the night. Super friendly dog, a labrador, that my children really enjoyed playing with. Nice owner with good English skills. You can eat at the common area the products from the outside.
Very relaxing cosy place. The food was really excellent they catered really well to our family - toddler was given a huge kid friendly meal which kept her happy. Staff were very accommodating and kind.
Excellent way to experience Japanese traditional house. Kids and family friendly. Loved the sound of waterfall throughout the our stay which we absolutely enjoyed.
We are travelling in Japan with 2 adults and 4 children. This site is in an amazing location and very cool and funky apartment. We loved our stay and the accommodation and location of Hakone was a real highlight and loved by all the family. I would absolutely return to this accommodation again.
We were a family of 2 adults & 2 children and having a whole house is super spacious. The living room and kitchen is right beside each other, so we can all gather in the same area and keep a look out for the kids.
There is a convenience store right before turning deep into the road leading up to the apartment, so you can grab some last minute stuffs if you would like.
I wish we'd had more time to spend here so we could take advantage of everything on offer. We stayed in Condominium A and it was really spacious. As expected it was in a different building from the hotel proper.
We had included breakfast and dinner and they were great. I recommend not getting to breakfast too late or things will have run out.
Baby-friendly: The hotel provided a portacot and they even had baby food jars as part of the buffet! They also had a selection of high chairs/ booster seats.
We liked the beautiful Japanese rooms and the free family baths (not onsen, but helpful when trying to bathe 2 children and a baby!)
The staff were very kind and helpful.
Playground right across the road for the kids!
Room is spacious, views of the lake were pretty, super close to Togendai-ko, buffet breakfast and dinner were yummy, Onsen and private Onsen are nice, massage services decent
We travelled with a 15 month toddler who just started walking. Hotel provided a crib for the room and they have good child seats (with safety straps) available. We also got to enjoy the private Onsen with our baby which was a great experience.
Very baby friendly - high chairs and little kid friendly cutlery and plates in the restaurant, plus a crib in the change rooms and baby seats in the onsen so your little one doesn't crawl away while you wash up.
