Everything!! The room was spacious and had an en suite. But more than the space let me tell you about the hosts. Domenico & Margaret (& they’re friend Mary, who’s in training to host) were just beyond spectacular. As soon as I arrived Domenico invited me to sit with them and their friends, & then to come to dinner with all of them. What a lovely evening. We hit it off, I was ‘family’ not a guest. After I ate a sandwich I’d left in the hot car, I got sick. They offered me everything and anything (otc remedies, to call a Dr, to delay my check out (with no worries or charge!) or extend my stay. I really felt like whatever their guest want need, they’re more than happy to provide. If you’re interested in a cooking class, Margaret can arrange that, if you want to go canoeing, Domenico can tell you where to go. You name it they’ve got you covered. They’re amazing! And I’m so glad to have stayed with them and to have direct time with them. I’m sorry my stay was short. I would love to come back with my father, I just know he and Domenico would be great friends.

L'armonica di nonno Sandro was the best B&B we had in 2 months of traveling through Italy. The hospitality of the owners (Alessandro & family) is legendary, the place (two sides of a small street in a mountain-village) is enchanting, the surrounding mountains are fabulous (and Alessandro will show you exactly where to go for the best experience). Thank you Alessandro, we had a wonderful time in Corfinio!

We've gone to this hotel on many occasions as UK people touring Italy and it never fails us. It's not in the central area of Sulmona so could be a problem without a car, and you won't exactly get a room with a view, but otherwise, absolutely great. Two lovely swimming pools, nice air-conditioned rooms, and very helpful staff. Parking is easy and with the beautiful medieval city of Sulmona is just a five minute drive away, it's a very easy choice for us.
