Great location, just next to seaside. This is the perfect place to relax. It is very close to the restaurants and shops, but the hotel itself is very quiet and peaceful. 🙂

The location was perfect for us and it was very relaxing to be in nice quiet area. The hosts were very helpful and could be contacted at any time. Cornelia greeted us and had cooked us an amazing meal for our first night ( it was so big it lasted two nights!) and provided us with more local produce than we could get through! Everything we needed was in the apartment including toaster, kettle juicer, hairdryer etc. The views from the patio/garden are amazing especially the sunset. My wife and daughter loved the fact you could go straight through the gate and swim in the sea. We as a family loved our stay and it was a great base for us to use while we explored the rest of the island.

Very comfortable, modern and extremely well equipped villa of one's dreams - everything is there from washing machine, dryer, dish washer, hair dryer, two bikes, even an air mattress for the pool! Great sleeping comfort too with fully black out blinds and good air con everywhere. Guests might need to know that the bedroom in the upstairs (attic) space has a low ceiling and no door - it didn't bother us but might be a problem for some. The location is quiet but absolutely requires a car or a very good connection to a taxi service - the next nice beach is about 10 mins drive away, the nearest supermarkets 5 mins by car but on a steep hill and a road that is difficult to walk or cycle, and Rethymno town about 20 mins drive. Super responsive owner and agency who solved a small problem with the pool straight away even though it occurred on a Sat afternoon.

The location is AMAZING. It is close to beautiful Gorges (e.g., Patsos, but it isn't an easy hike, so be prepared for a lot of rock climbing and getting into cold water) for hikes and has a private beach where you can swim at any time. It is also in the middle of the island, so you can go to any place in an adequate amount of time (we visited Preveli beach, Balos beach, the pink sand beach Elafonisi (wasnt too impressive tbh, not that much pink sand there), Seitan limania beach and we also paid a visit to Heraklion and Rethymno (that is like 15 mins away from the house and has nice restaurants and architecture). Note: take some kind of hiking shoes with you even when going to the beaches because sometimes the way to them isn't that easy The host was very kind to give us extra blankets as it was a bit cold at night because for some reason we could not figure out how the AC worked, she is a very welcoming and patient lady (she had to wait for us for an extra 15-20 minutes to hand over the keys to us because we kept missing the correct turn ahah (the last 5 mins of the drive to the villa are going under a bridge and a grassy/rather "wild" road ahhaha, it looks a bit scary at night but no worries, during the day it looks just fine Yes, you will hear roosters in the morning because of the neighbours but we did not mind them The villa has a wonderful terrace where we had breakfasts in the morning with a sea view and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking The beds were soft and comfy, the bathrooms were nice and clean and one of them even had a jacuzzi:) The host was also very kind to let us stay for a bit longer when we realized we got a flat tire on our last day So all in all, the host, the location, the amenities and the house itself are definitely a great deal you should not miss out on, we went in April and it was already hot enough to swim (for us at least ahaha)
