We stayed there for a full week to have some relaxing and quiet days off. There is a great terrace where you can enjoy dinner while having a beautiful view of the sea. The same great view you will have when looking out of the kitchen and the main bedroom on the first floor. The house had really everything listed on booking.com and even much more. We had an extremely warm welcome and upon arrival there was already Tania waiting for us who introduced us with the house and gave us some recommendations for beaches and villages nearby. There even were some water bottles and very delicious fruits and sweets prepared. The communication with the host was excellent and always very(!) quick. Located directly at a small beach the house is separated only by one small street. There are a few cars passing, but not frequently. The village itself is very small, non-touristic and the area mainly consists of greenhouses. So basically a workers village I would say. That is the reason why there are primarily locals and seasonal workers living there -- you will probably not find many tourists. So make sure that you do not expect restaurants, many shops or a busy nightlife (this is not what we were aiming for). Within walking distance there is one (really good) coffee shop, a supermarket which you can reach within a few meters and a bakery. It is also a good starting point for many great beaches nearby. The closest larger city is Ierapetra which you can reach in a few minute's drive (as well as Myrtos which is very nice). Something which really impressed us was the friendliness of the host and the locals living next doors: we got fresh tomatoes almost everyday, some came over and gave us fresh flowers from their garden and others invited us to join them fishing on the beach. Many thanks especially to Fiona and Tania! We would recommend the place to others looking for some quiet days off at a non-touristic village at the beach away from the action!

The location is very convenient if you are travelling by car. Easy street parking and a quiet residential neighborhood, right next to olive groves. Still there are a couple of grocery stores within a couple minutes walk. For the rest you need to walk/drive a bit further. The apartment was comfortable, ideally sized either for a short or medium term stay. Fully equipped apartment with a comfy queen-sized bed in the bedroom and a large enough couch in the living-room to easily sleep on if needed. We had enough space to place our baby's playpen in both rooms, the floorplan is such that we didn't feel cramped. Esthetically, if you like the appearance of wood, which we did, it has pretty nice wood hues throughout. Two air-conditioning units, one in each room, work both for heating and cooling. We visited in December so only used them for heating, but they were more than enough to heat the place properly for a baby to be comfortable too. There is a bathtub in the bathroom, which is a nice touch, as well as a washing machine.
