Highlights- the staff, the comfy bed, quirky decor, parking and tasty breakfast. Great value for money and I would absolutely return. The staff also made an occasion of our anniversary with a lovely decoration in the room. The use of the spa was also much appreciated.

The owner and staff looked after our every need they arranged an early check in knowing we had stayed local the previous night due to a cottage we booked being substandard. Nothing was to much trouble the breakfast being delivered to the room was a great touch. The room facilities are great and defiantly recommend a stay as we will be returning.

Low Wood Bay, hotel in Windermere

In a most spectacular location on the shores of England’s longest lake, Windermere, Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa is the Lake District’s first resort offering a number of facilities.

The room was a good size and the bathroom huge BUT with the tiniest shower with only a rainfall head, due to the tiny cubicle it felt really suffocating, like being water boarded! not enjoyable at all and no hook to put the alternate head up on. Breakfast was good as was the room service food and the views were AMAZING. Felt really unhappy about paying £12/day parking when paying £200 a night for the room. Just seemed greedy and left a bad taste. The weather made the outdoor spa experience incredible, so relaxing. loved every minute of it.

The lodge was beautiful! Amazing location, very clean and had everything you need. Julie was lovely and very accommodating, we have two small children and she provided a cot bed, changing mat, baby bath and high chair which was amazing as it gave us peace of mind that our babies would be comfortable. We had a great time and highly recommend staying here, it’s great for little families! Will definitely be booking again!

The Burrow was beautiful! Cosy, nicely decorated with lots of lovely little touches to make us feel at home. The welcome pack was really helpful and we loved feeding the birds in the back garden. A perfect cottage for our family of 4 (3 adults and 1 child), lots of room and a super fun games room in the cellar! A 30 second walk to the Co Op for supplies and everything on the doorstep, we didn’t move the car until we left!

The room was a really great size for our family (kids age 3&6). I had the radiator on a low setting all night which kept us toasty. Our room was very clean and there were extra pillows, blankets and towels. We had the pool to ourselves which was brilliant. Both dinner and breakfast were fresh and plentiful. This was our second stay and we would definitely book again. Its really good if you have young children as there's plenty of space both inside and outside.

Lovely period house. Pleasant conservatory for dining. Comfortable bed. Good location for Beatrix Potter World (9 of us including 3 children). Lovely gardens. The ability to accommodate all 9 of us including in family rooms. There seemed to be a policy of 'all inclusivity' which was nice: welcome to dogs, families of all ages, all nationalities, disability. Nice little pool for the size of the hotel.

The location was perfect! The apartment had good facilities including a cot and a high chair for our baby, and whilst not huge, is a decent size space for a family break. The flat was very clean on arrival.

A warm welcome awaited. Clear information on arrival. Car park next to the hotel so very convenient. The family room was so much fun as there were bunk beds so this added extra excitement for the kids. The breakfast was lovely. Will definitely be back. Thank you.

The location is PERFECT. Walking distance to everywhere! We travelled with two young children and both a travel cot and high chair were provided. Just a small touch, the high chair is the same height as the table which allowed for proper family time around the table. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
