A beautiful old family run property set in lovely gardens with a short woodland walk to Cromer’s cliff top coastal path. I loved how the hotel maintains its historic charm yet has all the modern comforts. My single room was so cute and cosy. A nice touch were the luxury bathroom products such as soaps and body lotions. There were also great tea making facilities in the room with a plentiful selection of teas. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was brilliant. I’ll definitely return to the Grove.

We liked everything! From the moment we walked in the door, we had a feeling of "This not only looks great, it feels great too". Really light, positive energy - we just knew we would be comfortable and relaxed here (and we were). Plenty of space, light and bright, very quiet (only sound was from the seagulls on the roof - we loved that!), all facilities you could wish for. Closer to the town centre and beach than online maps seemed to indicate - another bonus - less than 10 minutes' walk - but just far enough away in a side street to make it really quiet and peaceful. Matt and Maysie also provided milk and juice, among other extras - doubly appreciated as we had no shopping time arriving late on a Saturday evening. They were also very kind and flexible about arrival and departure arrangements. Top hosts, top apartment, top location - thank you so much! We hope to be back again before too long. And we've told so many friends already about how good it was that you may well have enquiries flooding in :))

Wonderful historical hotel. The view across to the Pier and the North Sea was wonderful. Great to open the window and hear the waves crashing against the sea wall. I commend the Staff at the hotel. Like so many hotels and restaurants both in the U.K. and Canada, full staffing is a problem since Covid. The people at this hotel were amazing, many having to cover more than one position. They were so friendly and helpful. Would return to The Red Lion if we ever come that way again.
