We had a wonderful stay at Dalhousie Castle. We had been traveling around England and Scotland for a fortnight and had visited several castles on our trip. So we were searching for castles in which we could stay and the beautiful Dalhousie castle came up. Dalhousie castle is Scotland oldest inhabited castle and both the castle and the interiors are stunning. The luxurious Library, and various beautifully decorated lounge areas, the entrance with the staircase and the exquisite ceiling and the castle grounds where you can take beautiful strolls. We only stayed for one night, but had I known what a fantastic time we would have at the castle I would have booked more nights, but they were all booked up so we couldn't extend our stay. Everything was just perfect and exceeded my expectations. I give Dalhousie Castle my best recommendations.

If you're looking for a quite place with a touch of victorian style, not to far form Edimburgh and really well connected to it, this is the place for you. The owners are very kind and they make sure, every morning, that you're getting a true Scottish experience with their breakfast. The garden is well-kept and very enjoyable, also perfect for dog owners. Of course they also have dogs and they are lovely and well trained, we loved and enjoyed playing with them. Thank you for making us enjoy our staying and make us love Scotland even more.

The staff went above expectations to insure we had a great stay. Restaurant was exceptional. Neighborhood Lounge and bar was on premise. Bus stop at hotel entrance. Loved the thick walls and breakfast room decor. But the staff is what makes this an excellent place to stay. Location is about twelve miles out of Edinburgh and is in walking distance to Roslyn Chapel.
