Hotel Rudyard, hotel in Leek

This 3-star country hotel is set on the edge of Rudyard Lake. Offering a beautiful setting, Hotel Rudyard has 12 attractive rooms, a restaurant and bar.

The setting was serene, nestled right beside a stunning lake. I reserved a family room featuring a bunk bed, which my 6-year-old daughter absolutely adored. The receptionist was there to greet us for our late check-in, ensuring that we were satisfied with everything before he headed home. He ensured that my extra request was fulfilled, even during the late hours. The included breakfast featured a hearty and well-cooked English breakfast that was quite satisfying. I strongly suggest this hotel for anyone seeking a comfortable and welcoming place to stay.

Lovely quaint cottage. Lovely location and setting. Everything you needed and even little extras. Crossaints were a lovely gesture and greatly received. Also, the milk. Everything had been thought about. Gorgeous place. Even the pumpkin outside was just a lovely beginning to what a beautiful place awaited us. Just wish it wasn't such a flying visit we had.

Higherlands, hotel in Leek

Situated just 10 km from Alton Towers, Higherlands provides accommodation in Kingsley with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as bicycle parking.

Higherlands was a very comfortable accommodation and Julie was a lovely host. My partner and I stayed for one night in a double room, with a private bathroom outside the room. The room was simple but comfortable, didn't have a TV, but that wasn't a problem for us since we arrived there around 9 pm and left the next morning. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, the room was quiet and dark, nice and warm. We had a great sleep, and woke up the next day with a beautiful view of the countryside out the window. The bathroom was right next to the room and only we were using it. Everything was very clean and to a high standard. We had great communication with Julie, and she kindly helped us find the concealed entrance to the accommodation. She also made delicious brews and full english breakfast!

Excellent location in Leek, a couple of minutes walk to pubs, restaurants and supermarkets but set back enough to be quiet. 20 minute drive to Alton Towers. House was very clean, modern decor but still felt cosy. Rooms were spacious and kitchen was very well equipped. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was a good size with a decent shower. Garden is small and looks onto some derelict buildings but it was private and quiet. Perfect house for us as a family with older children visiting Alton Towers.

Breakfast was included. The chef was very amenable and willing to change menu to meet our requirements. Cereals. fruit juice and Yogurts were available as a buffet. Everything else Chef prepared to order. Location was fantastic, so much to do, we took our grandchildren and they had a wonderful time. One of the highlights was dinner in a pod. Loads of car parking. Overall, hotel had a relaxed style and the staff were eager to ensure all our requirements were met. Very child friendly, (12 year old girl & 10 yr old boy).

The property was great! Kids loved it as they got to sleep on the sofa beds and had the tv in their room! The beds by the way were so comfortable! The apartment was secure and a good size for us all! (2 adults, 2 children) bath and shower was a nice touch! It was clean throughout and I had contact with Andrew throughout if I had any problems! Location was good as in the middle of Leek and close enough to Alton towers for the kids!
