There are only 3 rooms in the building we stayed in, it was nice and quiet. There was a large wardrobe and the toiletries and towels in the bathroom were nicely presented, they had also provided a couple of boxes of tissues. We were pleasantly surprised to discover a small fridge with some drinking water in it and some fresh milk for the tea and coffee (the owner told us later that he supplies fresh milk because he dislikes UHT milk in his own tea and coffee). We stayed for 3 nights and had a superb breakfast each morning. I'm pleased I took their advice and booked an evening meal in advance, the restaurant is very popular. Our meal was so tasty that we booked for the following evening too, that meal was also extremely good. The staff were very welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. When I was originally booking the room I was concerned about the check-in time because we were going to a gig in Cardiff on the first night and wouldn't get to the hotel until well after the check-in time. However when I mentioned my problem they replied swiftly and arranged a self check-in which went very smoothly. Parking was nice and close to the entrance to the accommodation. We will definitely be booking again next year when we're back in Cardiff.

It’s less than 10 minutes walk from the train station. There is a Tesco Express across the road and a shopping mall. A great place to stay, thanks Jay

Perfect location, rustic and beautiful interior. Had everything I needed and a real scene of privacy and peace. Wonderful walks really close by. And the owner was a delight - really responsive and helpful, even when I had a very minot request.

The location was perfect for me and my family, the property is very close to the Bay and also City centre. As you can imagine having 2 toddlers and a 7 year space is needed when staying away so this was perfect for us. The host was really helpful and messaged us a list of things we can do with the kids around Cardiff some for free. Clean property and will 100% return again.

Travelled with my family (wife and 3 young kids). Nice simple hotel. Location was very good. Affordable parking was available via Just Park app. Rooms were decent and clean. Shower/toilet were good. Breakfast was simple but decent; it did the job! No complaints.

We Brought our 7 month old baby and the hotel was very baby friendly (high chair, lifts, beds). Baby slept all night and I had a well needed rest. The view from the room was lovely and the surrounding area has lots to offer within walking distance

The location was absolutely perfect near to local shops, transportation, restaurants you name it. As for us we had 3 small kids whom enjoyed playing in the garden safely and child friendly, we felt at home from the moment we stepped into our apartment. The host David was always on the phone when we needed anything, very polite and friendly. Highly recommend and we will be coming back very soon.

The staff are fantastic. Very friendly! couldnt do enough!!! And we absolutely love that!!! What an excellent team! Facilities fantastic. - spa facilities available which was a bonus!! Would perhaps like to see discount in the shed restaurant for hotel customers! Spend £120 on dinner and breakfast for two adults and a baby. Breakfast could be included again a bit pricey! But couldn’t fault the food. Excellent!! Quiet night sleep. Great entertainment in the bar family friendly!

Accomodating staff. Free wi-fi that was consistent throughout my stay. Sleep quality was good. Within easy walking distance of the town centre, but far enough away from the noise of the all-night party that Cardiff is on a weekend. Attracts sports teams, families with children, hen night gangs, but all are all respectful of the rights of others to get a good nights sleep. Basic facilities are reflected in its affordable price. Vigilant, night-time security staff gives added reassurance to my daughter (and me for my daughter's safety)

The fully digitised check-in system meant that it didn't matter that I arrived very late in the evening on my first night. Proprietors didn't have to stay up to let me in, etc. Whole place was clean and tidy. Wide range of options for the TV. Families with young children would have no trouble finding something suitable for the kids to watch, or maybe a movie for themselves.

Location was great - could walk through the park into town with 2 small children very easily (great for scooting too as it is flat). Room was lovely - much quieter than we anticipated given it was a bank holiday wekend and we were staying above a pub! Staff were very friendly and even the sofa bed was comfy! Plus the breakfast was great - we just got it in the pub rather than booking it in which gave us moreb choice on scale (worked well for the kids who shared a french toast). Couldnt fault it really and would definitly stay again.
