This is a fantastic lodge set in its own unspoiled mountain playground. It is rare to have a high-class hotel found in such a stunning location without having to share with other tourists. The staff are superb, and the Guides had encyclopedic knowledge of the local area and the extensive wildlife. Nothing was too much. The lodge really felt like a 'home from home'. So many activites to do - hiking, canoeing, E-biking to name a few.

When we first arrived I realized it wasn’t going to be a normal motel. It had a very small family owned motel feel. It was smaller then your used to motel but I can’t honestly complain about anything and it just had a kind of home away from home feel. I only saw 2 staff, the owner the first day and then the cleaning lady. Stayed 5 nights and every time we went back I was extremely comfortable which I don’t useually have when staying at a motel, after a couple nights I wanna leave but here it was a pleasure to get back to at the end of the day. This hostel operates in a historic building with its own flare, style and personality; the location is also superb - we could see the St-Lawrence stuary from our window. The custodian, Réal, is extremely helpful, polite and friendly. He gave us a very informative tour of the building and made us feel welcome!
